Their portfolio is diverse, covering the High-end Hospitality, Multi-family, Corporate, Residential, and Cultural sectors. Due to the firm's consistent project pipeline and continued success, they are now seeking a Senior Project Architect for their Philadelphia studio.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Project Architect holds a crucial position within this boutique firm, contributing significantly to practice, client, and project leadership. This role involves mentorship, promoting design excellence, and working on a diverse portfolio with a strong focus on multi-family, hospitality, and corporate workplace projects. Reporting to the Director of Architecture and collaborating closely with the Founder, the Senior Project Architect works with design teams to develop innovative concepts, transform design visions into reality, and manage project documentation and communication throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience managing multiple ongoing projects and a strong understanding of construction practices and the design documentation process.
As an essential member of this dynamic firm, the Senior Project Architect’s responsibilities encompass all areas of team collaboration with firm leadership. Other key aspects of this role include contributing to the architecture community, leading presentations, involvement in the proposal process, internal hiring, and engagement with potential clients. The Senior Project Architect will be involved in developing project-specific financials, including fee management, negotiations, project budgets, schedules, and tracking. An interest in developing the skills to secure new work and meaningfully engage in business development would greatly benefit the practice along with career progression in this role.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7-10+ years of Architecture experience.
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Architecture.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale commercial projects within the mixed-use, hospitality or multi-family sectors.
- Experience leading projects.
- Architectural Licensure preferred.
- Experience contributing to proposal and fee development, staff management, annual forecasting, and business development a plus.
- Experience delivering engaging and compelling client presentations.
- Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and Bluebeam.
